RADIO IS BORING
Hey,
My name's Marsh. I'm the Executive Director of Metro Cinema in Edmonton. I'm also the Past Chair of the Board of the Edmonton Arts Council.
I've made a few short films. I made the first, Radio is Boring in 2001; it screened on ZeD TV a couple of times, but ZeD doesn't exist anymore.
I made an animation for my nephew, Velocipede vs Velociraptor; it screened a couple of times, and earned me my first cheque as a filmmaker.
I'm also making an experimental documentary about our family's abandoned gas station. I presented part of it as a piece of performance carpentry at the Mile Zero Dance Salon Series, and have since put it aside.
My parents put a timber frame addition on their house, and I made a short film about it (with a soundtrack by Steve Hardy). Michael Hollihn of Prana Timber Frame posted the video on YouTube, and it's been seen more than anything else I've made. Oh, YouTube.
I also make a wicked gumbo, and my girlfriend Jen makes great pies.
